PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Organic grapeseed oil has a subtle yellow to green colour and is a clear oil. The clarity comes from the winterising process that leaves a highly-refined oil with a lightweight texture.
Our organic grapeseed oil is largely odourless, with just a faint odour that has a slight sweetness. The refinement process results in a thin oil that is easily absorbed into the skin without feeling greasy. Organic grapeseed oil is made by pressing the seeds of grapes. It is cold-pressed to help maintain the naturally-occurring nutrients.
Organic grapeseed oil is suitable for use as a carrier oil as it is safe for use directly on the skin. There are also fewer chemicals or pesticides involved in the manufacture of organic essential oils.

Cosmetic Functions:
According to the Cosmetic Ingredient Database (Cosing), the function of organic grapeseed oil is “skin conditioning”.
HOW TO USE IT
- It’s safe to use 1% up to 100% organic grapeseed oil in your recipes.
- Being oil-soluble means our organic grapeseed oil cannot be used in water-only products and should be combined with other oils.
- Our organic grapeseed oil is heat stable, so you can use it from the beginning stage of your recipe. It also has a long shelf life, ideal for carrier oils.
As an emollient, organic grapeseed oil keeps the moisture locked into the skin and gives good nutrition to a massage oil blend. The slip and glide will be improved by adding 10% of a heavier oil like castor oil or jojoba to slow down the penetration of the oil during the massage.
Adding an Omega 3-rich oil like rosehip seed or chia seed oils will give a very balanced fatty-acid profile that will make a noticeable difference to the skin quality.
In small amounts, it can be used neat on the hair to help seal in moisture. Scrunch in gently to the hair while still damp.
