PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
A yellow to dark yellow oil with a gentle nutty smell that is produced by cold pressing the organic seeds of the Chia plant and then filtering.
This is 99.5% Cold Pressed Chia Seed Oil and we have added 0.35% Vitamin E as a powerful antioxidant to keep the oil from oxidising. That Vitamin E is suspended in 0.15% Sunflower Seed Oil to make it pourable.
- Use 1% to 100%.
- Oil soluble so cannot be used in water only products. It can be used in small amounts in water based gels that will hold it in suspension.
- It is not heat stable so should be used in Stage 3 (cool stage) when making creams and lotions. We recommend storing it in the fridge when it is not in use.
Chia Seed Oil blends well with Apricot Kernel Oil, Rice bran Oil and Oat Oil for baby skin products and adult skin types that are very reactive.

HOW TO USE IT
Skin Care
- Chia Seed Oil is an incredible oil that is rich in Omega 3 which is excellent for skin conditioning and restoring the skin's natural barrier. It will reduce scaly skin and dryness and help to reduce Transepidermal Water Loss (TEWL).
- It sinks in quickly to the skin without any greasiness and leaves the skin feeling velvety soft. Use in anti aging serums, eye creams and body lotions.
- Excellent to use in a massage oil bend as it not only delivers a highly nutritious level of Omega 3 but will also improve the texture of heavier oils like Castor Oils and Shea Butter that are desirable to use but can feel too greasy unless blended with drier feeling oils like Chia Seed.
- Containing a high content of protein, Niacin, Thiamin, Zinc, Iron and Vitamins A, B1, B2 and B3 Chia Seed Oil is a superb oil for cuticle oils and hand creams.
- It’s very effective on all skin types including sensitive skin as it feels so silky and soft. This quality also makes it ideal for acne prone skin.
- Chia Seed Oil improves the look of the skin and smooths fine lines and wrinkles leaving the skin with a fresh and more youthful appearance.
- Good levels of phytosterols mean that this oil is very calming on the skin. Use in products for eczema prone and psoriasis prone skin types. Chia Seed Oil is excellent to use in beards oils to condition the skin as well as soften the bristly beard.
- Ideal to use in baby products especially when blended with other soft oils like Apricot Kernel Oil and Rice Bran Oil.
Hair Care
- Excellent to use on dry and damaged hair. It softens the hair shaft without greasy after feel or sticky residue.
- Chia Seed Oil locks moisture into the hair and reduces static making the hair easier to comb or brush.
- It conditions the hair and protects it from any further damage without reducing the natural shine or making the hair feel heavy. Use in treatment packs, conditions and hair serums.
RECIPES & BLENDS
Blends well with Apricot Kernel Oil, Rice Bran Oil and Oat Oil for baby skin products and adult skin types that are very reactive.

Measurements are in centimetres. If you are between sizes, take the larger one. Wrong size? Return it within 30 days, unused, and we will swap it.
Delivery
Every order is posted from London, tracked, within one working day.

- Royal Mail Tracked 48 — 2–3 working days. £2.99, or free on orders over £25.
- Royal Mail Tracked 24 — next working day for most UK addresses. £4.99.
Dispatch
Orders placed before 2 pm Monday to Friday are dispatched the same day. Orders after 2 pm, or at the weekend, go out on the next working day. You will get an email with the tracking number as soon as the parcel is scanned.
Where we deliver
United Kingdom only, including Northern Ireland, the Highlands and Islands. We do not ship internationally at the moment.
If something goes wrong
If a parcel is late by more than three working days past its estimate, or arrives damaged, email hello@orvane.uk with your order number and we will sort it — replacement or refund, your choice.
Returns & refunds
30 days to change your mind. Refund within 5 working days of the item reaching us.
How to return something
- Email hello@orvane.uk with your order number and what you are returning. We reply within one working day with the return address and a reference.
- Pack the item in its original packaging where you can, with the reference inside.
- Post it back using a tracked service and keep the receipt.
Who pays the postage
If the item is faulty, damaged or not what you ordered, we refund the return postage too. If you have simply changed your mind, you cover the cost of sending it back.
What we can accept
Anything unused and in a resaleable condition within 30 days of delivery. For hygiene reasons we cannot take back earrings or opened personal-care items unless they are faulty.
Your legal rights
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you have 14 days from delivery to cancel an order for any reason; our 30-day window includes that. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 you are entitled to a repair, replacement or refund for goods that are faulty, not as described or not fit for purpose. Nothing here limits those rights.
