Product Description
Product Description
Our Organic Patchouli Essential Oil – Dark is a premium oil, steam-distilled from the fermented leaves of the Pogostemon Cablin plant. Famous for its rich, musky and earthy smell, this oil is a staple in both skincare and aromatherapy.
The “dark” variant is distilled in iron vats, resulting in a deeper, more intense scent than the “light” version. This aging process enhances the oil’s aroma, making it a favourite among perfumers and aromatherapists. Patchouli oil is often used as a base note in fragrances.
In skincare, Organic Patchouli Essential Oil – Dark moisturises and nourishes dry skin, supports a calm and balanced complexion and improves skin texture. It’s suitable for eczema-prone and psoriasis-prone skin.
According to the Cosmetic Ingredient Database (CosIng), the function of Patchouli Essential Oil is “masking”, meaning it’s used in perfuming and masking odours in cosmetic products.
Add a few drops of patchouli oil to your skincare formulations for extra benefits.
